Feeding America

34 million people in the United States today are food insecure, including 9 million children. Many households that experience food insecurity do not qualify for federal nutrition programs and visit their local food banks and other food programs for extra support. Huner in African American, Latino, and Native American communities is higher because of systemic racial injustice. To achieve a hunger-free America, Feeding America is committed to addressing the root causes of hunger and structural and systemic inequities. Feeding America is the largest charity working to end hunger in the United States. They partner with food banks, food pantries, and local food programs to bring food to people facing hunger. They also advocate for policies that create long-term solutions to hunger, and provide disaster response in emergency situations. In a 2022 Forbes article, Feeding America was noted as the #1 charity, with 99% fundraising efficiency and 99% charitable commitment.
